Newsletter, Interviews, and Xoom Xoom!
Happy beginning of April everybody! I hope it didn’t take people long to figure out Gmail Motion was Google’s April fools joke for the year. I saw it on Google’s main page, clicked, and watched the video to see what it was all about myself. Once the dude mentions ‘relying on outdated technology like the keyboard and mouse’, I pretty much knew it was a joke. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, watch the video below, and keep an eye out for future ‘April fools’ jokes from Google.
April kicks off the official start of the website. We will keep our featured games up until half way through the month, then switch them out for new ones until the start of next month. I’ll be sending out the first official newsletter when we update the featured games mid month, and will continue to send them out every time we switch out our featured games.
In my last post, I mentioned an interview that I was excited about. I not only did pretty awesome, I got called back for a second and currently waiting to hear back from them about the job! I’ll write more about it if I get it.
I’ve also been experimenting with my Xoom; messing around with overclocking, new themes, etc. Check out the video I made below.
It’s not entirely accurate. I played around with Majora’s Mask a little bit after I stopped the video, and I found it to still lag in certain areas. I was able to fix this by adjusting the ‘max frame skips’ setting in the emulator. So it does work fine! The question is, would adjusting the max frame skips before rooting and overclocking make it work fine too? Perhaps if you have a Xoom you can comment here and let me know.
Also, for those who are wondering, the site where I found the theme (and now also custom boot animations, I’ll make a video once I have time to get one of those on my Xoom) can be found here.
