Holy Crap! Scuba Diving, Wakeboarding, Water Activities
Holy Crap! Its been about 10 days and we haven’t put anything up yet! Well folks, no we haven’t ditched the site. In fact Aaron is still busy playing his games, and I believe we have a few more to put up in a couple days! We are going to make some changes though.
With summer coming, that means wakeboarding, scuba diving, swimming, and other fun activities while still managing working, video games, podcasts, and the site. Over the summer, were are going to to switch off of bi-monthly and onto a monthly schedule. We’ll still put up awesome games as often as we can, but we’ll only change out the featured and make a podcast once a month.
We’ll write about some of our favorite water activities a lot during the summer. One of my favorites right now is scuba diving. I was certified in Monterey of August 2010 with my buddy Chris from work (back when I was working for Apple). Since then I’ve done a couple more dives at Monterey, and a lot more dives at Lake Camanche, pictured above. Diving at Lake Camanche isn’t nearly as fun as Monterey. Instead of bright colored fish, coral reef, sharks, jellyfish, and other mysterious wonders; Camanche has beer cans, beer bottles, sandals, glasses, and trout. However, it’s good practice and pretty warm (except during the winter) so I don’t complain. I just recently went to Camanche over the weekend, where I had a hard time choosing a spot because of all the people fishing.
If it was just the fact that I might be scaring fish away from the fisherman (which I don’t really, they come pretty close to me), I wouldn’t mind being so close. The thing is, I’d rather not get caught up in their lines and possibly get hooked and pulled until the line snaps. That doesn’t sound fun. So I finally found a good spot, and 3/4 through my dive I actually stumbled across someones bait and line in the water! With 8 feet visibility, it’s pretty hard to find much of anything so I was pretty impressed. I couldn’t let the occasion go without something to ‘celebrate’. So I carefully gave his line a tug and let go, watching it shoot back up towards shore as the then happy fisherman reeled in his line thinking he had a fish. It was quite funny! I laughed in my regulator as I swam back in the direction I came from. Definitely the highlight of my weekend ![]()
Until next time!
