It’s May!

Hi everyone,

Wow! Time has passed by so fast and this site is more than a month old. The brothers have been working really hard bringing to you the podcasts and new games to check out. I do hope everyone’s been having fun here. Site wise, there haven’t been any major technical hiccups (:x hope I don’t jinx anything by saying this, LOL) hence I’ve been cruising along, enjoying my Mojitos while watching the screenshots, new games, podcasts, videos get posted up.

May is generally a good month for Singapore – we have 2 public holidays this month. Labour Day and Vesak Day. Labour Day occurs on 1st of May and because it happened to land on a Sunday, we get Monday off. It’s a little bit different from the American calendar where Federal holidays usually occur on a Monday. Actually, I am not quite sure how the holiday system in America works, even though I have spent some time working in Philly a couple of years back, I never quite understood it. The other holiday we have is Vesak Day, happening on the 17th May. Because we are a multi-cultural country (mainly Chinese, Malays, Indians and Eurasians – the 4 main races living here) with each race having a predominant religion (although the lines are pretty much blurred nowadays), the government set some public holidays based on the major occasions of these religions. Vesak for Buddhists, Christmas for Christians, Hari Raya for Muslims. It’s a day off for everyone, so I am not complaining

Work has been very very stressful for me. If I don’t watch myself, I’ll end up having permanent frown lines on my forehead. That’s not going to be pretty. :p Hence, I really do appreciate this little break coming up that will help me recharge a little bit to prepare for battle for the rest of the year.
